I've got a 20 year old MR2 bought it in 85 had a major accident in it
in 86 COP said if it would have been any other car I would have DIED!

Ins company fixed it and I was going to sell it but I just never did. I
still drive it almost every day. Yes it's had it share of problems but
what car doesn't - Name me one that doesn't need any maintance or have
problems?

I totalled an 80 Corolla SR-5 in 1988 and walked away from the accident.
The seatbelt kept me from hitting anything. I had a friend that a few years
later had a similar accident in a Fine American Car and broke his nose on
the windshield. The seatbelt didn't 'hold' him, and he was wearing it. . .

80 Corolla SR-5. Coupe or hatch? I bought one new in '80 (coupe...the
coupe did NOT have roll-down rear windows) and drove the wheels off it
until '86 when I traded it for...the...HACHIROKU!!!!

I bought my first 80 SR-5 with the rectangular windows behind the door and
the LONG hatch (referred to as the Green 80 or '421) in 1986. I wrecked
it in '88. I bought another (The red 80 or '668) after that and drove it
until October of 1994. Before the two TE72's, I had a KE30 from 1979
(bought new) and before that I had a TA12. Was that the hatchback or the
liftback? The dealer never could seem to make the distinction when I was
trying to order parts. After that I bought an S-10 that I drove until
1999(mistake) when I bought the AE109 that I still drive.
