Things are real bad. It is getting harder and harder to make a living here.
Needed a reference for a new job, so I called a company I used to do
free-lance tech support for.
He was running a 'boiler room', a telemarketing center that cold-called
machining companies offering to repair their used, broken or worn
machining bits.
I asked him if he was still running the boiler room, and he said, I don't
need to. We have more work than we can handle. I can't make deliveries
because I can't get enough people to work. Do YOU need a job?!?!
I told him if he hoired me as a machinist he still wouldn't be making
deliveries, but his scrap room would be filling up.
Yup, that's how bad it is...unemployment is so LOW that companies are
struggling to find workers...

Pffft. Yeah, that's why it took 9 months for a friend of mine, with
many years of experience, to find a job.

Back in the end of Jimmy Carter's presidency it took me a whole YEAR to find
a job. I had to move back in with the folks. My unemployment benefits ran
out completely at that time.
I was unemployed at the bottom of the tech bust in 2000. Took me 5 weeks to
get hired again, but I think it was an Act Of God that got me that job.

Howard Dyno and the DNC are in trouble. Their money rasing efforts are
falling way behind. Republicans are bringing in money at breakneck
speed.

HAHAHA!!! You talk about fundraising???
Here's a few factoids duh-bu:
1. The DNC outraised the RNC for the first time since the Civil War,
in 2004. Most money ever raised by a political committee anywhere in
the known universe.
2. Tim Kaine devoted the homepage of his campaign web site to Katrina
for a full month after the tragedy. How could he do this, and yet WIN?
Here's how bubba: Terry McAuliffe, in a last act of generosity with
The People's Money (avg donation $50.00), gave Kaine FIVE MILLION
DOLLARS of DNC money in January 2005 for his campaign. That's known as
"Keep it honest, Kaine, we got yer back" money, thanks to THE PEOPLE.
What does that mean? Kaine could run an honest campaign, yet he had
the money to successfully route Kilgore and his lying campaign ads.
3. Katrina took a bite out of DNC fundraising to be sure ... but in
the past three months, DNC Fundraising dollars have increased by 66%.
Yep.... 66%. That's huge.
