Bush voters? Most unions, and esp the UAW, vote Democratic, Richard.
When I was in the Machinists, we were STRONGLY urged to vote for
Democrats, and were given lists with all the possible candidates from the
areas the majority of union members were from.
Amazing how some of the members took pride for voting for candidates that
did NOTHING.

Wake up dude. That was 30 years ago. The Rust Belt is REPUBLICAN now.
Has been ever since Reagan.

Those were the old days. I was in the IBEW for a year in the 80s --
when I had the 77 Corolla with wood panelling -- and every day those
whino jerkoffs threatened to slash my tires.
Nowadays those same guys drive Toyota Tundras with Machinists local
bumper stickers.
Grassroots own the Democratic party now -- not the AFL/CIO. Those were
the old days when the unions could write million dollar checks to the
party. Now they are limited to $26,700 per year, which also severely
limits their influence on K street.
Thank McCain/Feingold for that.

Yeah. See GEORGE W. BUSH.
Its amazing how badly they screwed themselves because of their hatred
of folks who are not like them, eh? amazing and sad. They're still
welcome to some turkey at my Mother in Law's house. Hell, they're
welcome to REjoin the democrats too. We're the party of inclusion, not
hate and fear.

The UAW voted for Kerry in the last election and spent millions trying to
get Democrats elected. See
http://www.boston.com/news/politics/president/articles/2004/03/25/unions_make_kerry_support_official/
and when I worked for a short time for GM, the union did not ask me who I
wanted to endorse. The union spent our dues without asking the members.

Big news is gas prices are heading down, there is talk of withdraw from
Iraq, maybe in 06, that is if Iraq is ready to gradually assume more
control. The Presidents plan is on track. The stock market is up.
Companies are right sizing. We are on the road to victory. Plus...
Bush has three more years for tort reform, SS reform and a whole bunch
more. Go GWB!! Republicans have the ideas, Democrats are floundering
and don't know what to do except grumble.

Says you. Most of the rank and file union members either vote
Republican to spite union management or don't vote at all. In either
case they don't have anyone to blame but themselves.

Hey, cheer up, with Bush in control and three more years ahead we are on
