Assuming that it has a factory cruise control, does the resume feature work?
If so, check the parking brake switch and service brake pedal brake light
switch adjustment. If you have a manual transmission, check the adjustment
on the clutch pedal switch. Check for a wire shorted to ground on your
brake lights.
If the resume feature does not work, make sure the wire harness under the
steering column is not loose.
