The rubber mounting bushings have gotten hard and will make a rattling or
knocking sound, especially if the strut is cold. The cure is a new set of
strut mount bushings. If you have the struts and bushings replaced at a
Toyota dealer, you will have lifetime parts and labor warranty on those
parts at any Toyota dealer in the U.S.
