Some of us "engineers" exaggerate our credentials

A lot of us just have 2 year electrical engineering technology degrees
from junior colleges. Doesn't mean we can't solder and stuff.

Re: Some of us "engineers" exaggerate our credentials

In California a company can give someone the title of "Engineer" for
use within that company.
To work as an engineer, even if you don't use that title, requires a
full degree or registration, a long proceedure that could be
"grandfathered" until somewhere in the 1980s.

A friend of mine had to get his paperwork in by the end of the year,
but was running late.
We took a bunch of blank sheets to simulate the weight of the
application package, wrote his address on the envelope in pencil,
mailed it to get postmark, finished the paperwork on the New Years Day
weekend, erased his address from the envelope and put on the
application office address in ink, drove to Sacramento and slipped it
under the door.

As it turned out, the references he used didn't like him and never sent
their paperwork in and he missed registaration.

IIRC an engineering degree by itself was and is not good enough to call
yourself an engineer in California. For a PE in the Electrical Engineering
Branch or other main branches, you could not be grandfathered at that time.
What I do remember was the creation of some new engineering disciplines at
that time such as Control Engineer, Safety Engineer and the like for which
you could be grandfathered in.

What about an engineering degree in fellatio? I bet many professors
would grant those degrees! Also corporations would hire them like mad.

I bet clinton would get him like 12 engineers then. Recycle them based
on his mood...

I might even get a female engineer for say the evening times alone in
the trailer.

I can't argue - it was a twenty year old memory and even the applicant
may have had it wrong.
Thanks,

It's not common knowlege, but Monica was actually hired through
Hillary's efforts. Monica's father was some sort of fat-cat Dem
supporter who wanted to get his daughter on a fast-track White House
Intership program. Hillary was in charge of the White House
Internship Program at the time.

Hillary was probably in the corner of the room rubbing herself during
the sessions.

I have no doubt.

We all got screwed, however, when some ass had Ken Star spend over
$50M of tax payer money to do a B. Clinton witch hunt.

How'd that feel?
