OT NYC's TWU Goes Back To Work

Mediators have called for a media blackout, and the
buses/trains/subways are now going back online. Pending approval by
the TWU's executive board. Mediators are predicting things will be
back online by the end of today.

Funny how when the Union Leaders were about to face jail time to support their right to strike they suddenly decide its in there best interest to work things out.

Actually the TWU is simply bowing to the requirement of NY law, to purge
itself of the million dollar a day fine imposed by a judge and the threat of
individual fines for its members, currently before another judge. ;)

NO, actually the NYC MTA are a bunch of terrorists. In a year where
they have a billion dollar surplus, they insist on raising healthcare
and pension costs. Once again, greedy crooks at the top.

I know the "Liberal Media" will try to spin this as the union's fault,
but don't be misled, buddy.

It is against the law in NY for public employees to strike. They
already make more than others in their same field.

This country is founded on civil disobedience. Seems like they made
the choice to tone it down some. Maybe (MAYBE) that is a good choice.

And what conclusion could a reasonable citizen draw from that fact?
(i.e. given that fact and the state of society in the NYC metro area,
where these folks live and work, what do you think the solution is)
