2000 Sienna - A warning light started intermittently
flashing on and then off before I could focus to see what it
was. Finally got a fix - it was the "low windshield washer
fluid".
I will probably have to get rid of that POS vehicle and get
something more reliable.

Of Course
How good is the gas mileage on that model sienna?
I don't check too close but about 20, mostly local driving

What is FEA??[color=blue]

I had a Previa before the Sienna. The Sienna is much much
better driving and handling.
The Sienna now has 120 k miles and it is still doing great.
I will fill up the wiper reservoir tomorrow instead of
trading it in.

Or you could do something really silly and impulsive - like buy a
gallon bottle of pre-mixed windshield washer solvent and refill the
washer fluid reservoir. That'll reset the float switch and solve the
problem for a few months, then you'll need to do it again.
Sheesh...

My 2000 Sienna gets about 16 driving locally. I'm not too happy with
the gas mileage. It's due for a timing belt replacement (90K) and
probably tune-up, but I doubt that will make a difference.

But that will set you back about 2 bucks...............Think about it , you
could buy 3/4 of a gallon of gas instead[color=blue]

FEA is front end alignment. I read somewhere that it is an issue on this
series? (Wearing out tires unevenly and not holding a new alignment?)
I am amazed that the previous 'Previa' was (rated) less economial
fuel-wise. Seems to me a 4 cyl. with rear wheel drive would beat out a 6
cyl. with front wheel drive any day. And the previa was actually
lighter. Rear wheel drive, from what I've been taught is more effecient
and all things being equal should net better economy.
Must be better the inproved engineering of engines and bearings etc.
Doesn't seem to me the new series is better fuel mileage wise but it is
even heavier and more gadget laden than the previous series.

It might. 2000 Sienna is very sensitive to dirty oil, air filter and spark
plug. Every time I experience power loss (you can feel it when climbing
small hills. You have to push harder), it's always because of dirty air
filter and/or oil. It starts to lose power after 2K-3K of oil change and
8K-10K of air filter change. I had to change oil and air filter more
frequently. With new oil and filters, it works great in keeping up with
traffic. But with dirty oil and filters, you have to push really hard to
keep up.
