87 Toyota won't start without starting fluid.

The alternator is new. The cold start valve is working. Battery is
charged. Plugs are new. Any advice?

Chris,

Tell us a little more about the cars history and what you've done so
far. Starting problem could be the fuel pump. The other might be a
different story. Please tell us more info.

there is a cold start injector time swich that tells your cold start injector to open and add additional fuel when its cold, then as the engine warms, tells the injector to shut off. it is located on the water neck on the drivers side the head.

Re: 87 Toyota won't start without starting fluid.

New motor, cranks and idles, when you put it in gear it dies, unpluged
throdle censor and put it in gear will still idle but will not go but as
soon as you touch the gas it dies, new distributor, new cap, new rottery
button, new plugs and wires, cold start valve is good, cold start sensor
is broke, acts like it's not getting enough gas when engaged.
