Speedometer problems

I changed my fuel filter and I think I disconnected a wire harness that
counts the miles and mph's. Where is the harness located, I can't see
it..

And this would be on what year/model? My '90 4Rnr has a cable driven
Speedo.

The harness runs throughout the front of the car. The speedometer/odometer
leads run from the output shaft of the transmission to the instrument
cluster.
