Local TV channels in Houston are refusing to air anti-DeLay
ad. The ad shows a lot of the items critical of DeLay which
we have been seeing on the net recently. Channel 11 says
they can't run the ad because "all the claims can not be
verified. specifically the claim that DeLay received a
million bucks from Russians." Also, DeLay's lawyer sent
letter to the local stations threatening lawsuit. They
wussed out, even though the ad is being shown on cable
channels.

The same morons in Houston probably aren't even aware that there's an
'internet', so what can you say? There you go, ad is being shown on
cable channels. That will reach a lot of the voting public. DeLay is
not a hammer, he's a snivelling little bitch.

Sounds like responsible journalism. If you can't verify it then don't
report it. Maybe CBS and NYT will learn that soon.

Why? The Swift Boat Veterans and the Republican National Committee
haven't learned it yet.

Time for a fact-check, my friend... did they run those SBV ads in
Houston? Because from all of the information I've seen, their 'facts'
most certainly cannot be verified. And, I presume there's some sort of
'news organization' on the local Houston channels.
I can understand your need to justify the political choices you've
made, however weak, baseless, and generally ridiculous your arguments
are. If I voted like you no doubt have over the past 6 years, I'd be
pretty damned pissed and I'd feel pretty duped.
Its ok though, soon as you want to come to reality, the Democratic
Party has its doors open and unlocked, so come on in.

Quit trying to spin everything. The news organizations are learning
(try it sometime) irresponsible "fact" reporting like CBS and NYT try
to push are going to be called. They've been spanked and are reeling
from loss of credibility, much like yourself.
The Swift Boat Veterans were never proven to be wrong and Kerry didn't
dare refute them. At least he had the sense to keep his mouth shut
when he had been cornered with his own words.

Yet they couldn't prove it to be true. Since they never did, there's
no need to refute it. Poor neocons. You'll never admit the lies your
party told you.

What does that have to do with your ultra-conservative, ignorant

Are you kidding? Never proven wrong? Of course they were -- time and
time again.

What words? The insignificant (and grossly misrepresented) Cambodia
thing? What else?
How about you give me a list of what the SBV"t" were claiming about
Kerry's time in Vietnam, and I'll show you how they were proven wrong.
And that's considering we're talking about events that took place over
35 years ago. The fact that 1-2 guys claimed this or that happened a
certain way doesn't quite the mustard when many more claim something
else.
Purple Hearts? Bronze Star or Silver Star? Something else? Take your
pick.
