You and the american public is the big losers here but you will not
figure it out until it is to late. Democracy is slowly dying here and
the high court may no longer ruled by law but by ideology.

Total crap.
A Conservative Court is a Court that interprets the Constitution as it
was written....
Going Conservative is a great boost for democracy....

Exactly
Liberals can NOT win in the elections....so they packed the courts.
Most people would think the opposite will now be the case. The dialogs on
the Supreme Court have been creating laws that never were passed by the
legislature or envision by the founders. Does using emanate domain to take
private property for the public 'good' rather than public 'use' come to
mind?

How can any one say that the constitution gives "right to privacy"
without some sideboards?
How about how congress has ran with the "interstate commerce" clause?
In my case, before he court struck down the 1000' law for banning guns
near schools, I could not go any direction to anywhere from my home
w/o being closer than the "law" allowed. I enjoy shooting, not
hunting.

A news report I saw the other day said the Republican leadership was
considering waiting a few days for the vote because some members of the
Senate, Republicans, were out of town. So, not necessarily spinelessness on
their part.
Can't think where I read it, so I don't have a citation for you. It was
probably the NYT.

Yeah, we've had an 'activist' court since the 1960's eating away at the
foundation of the US, starting with Engel vs Vitale. About time we got our
sense back. . . .
