Why Cheney can't shoot straight

Having avoided serving in viet nam has had a direct effect on poor
dicky.

Wonder why they waited 24 hours to admit he shot someone.

They were probably trying to figure out a way to blame it on terrorists or
liberals.

Heh heh ...that's not bad.

Actually, what happened isn't all that uncommon when quail or dove
hunting with a big party. I don't bird hunt, but I'm told by friends
that do that it's not unheard of to catch a little lead rain from
someone shooting across a field.

What is unusual is that it actually results in an injury requiring
medical care. Birdshot loses velocity quickly and isn't very dangerous
(except maybe to unprotected eyes) if you're just a few hundred feet
away.

Please. I've been quail hunting plenty of times and that's never EVER
happened to me or anyone I know.

This wasn't from across the field. He turned and his "friend" was

Long sig today..

Between January 2001 and January 2006:

Net private sector job growth - 1,054,000 new jobs.
Immegration (legal + illegal) - 7,900,000
Population growth (immegration + births) 16,700,000

The net gain in jobs over 5 years is 1/2 million less than population
growth from immegration during any one of those 5 years.

Net change in ALL manufacturing sector jobs -17%
Specific Manufacturing sector jobs:
Communications equipment -43%
Semiconductors & electronic components -37%
Computers -30%
Electrical equipment and appliances -25%
Motor vehicles and parts -12%
Furniture -17%
Apparel manufacture -50%
Textile mills -43%
Paper and paper products -20%
Plastics and rubber products -15%
Beverages & tobacco products - 7%

Non-manufacturing jobs (The so called "knowledge" jobs that were
supposed to replace manufacturing in the "new" economy.)
IT jobs -17%
Telecommunications -25%
Accounting & bookkeeping - 4%
Computer systems design - 9%

Today there are 209,000 fewer managerial & supervisory jobs than in
January 2001. Wholesale & retail job numbers are down, but I don't
have
hard numbers.

Growth fields for jobs 2001 - 2006:
credit intermediation (i.e. bill collectors & credit
"counselors")
health care & social assistance (nurses aids, not nurses)
waiters, waitresses and bartenders

2005 trade deficit $726,000,000,000
2004 $617,700,000,000
2003 $547,000,000,000
2002 $483,000,000,000
2001 $427,000,000,000

In the past 5 years the US imported $2,307,700,000,000 more than it
exported.

2005 budget deficit $521,000,000,000
2004 $412,500,000,000
2003 $375,000,000,000
2002 $157,000,000,000

2001 budget SURPLUS $127,000,000,000

National Debt:
As of 02/09/2006 $8,205,718,977,047.85

Interest on debt:
2005 $314,909,670,536.68*
2004 $321,566,323,971.29
2003 $318,148,529,151.51
2002 $332,536,958,599.42
2001 $359,507,635,242.41

* Covers 10 months of Fiscal Year 2005 - interest for the whole year
is
probably closer to $370 billion.

Note: 3/5 of the deficit goes just to pay the interest. For every $5
the
government borrows today, $3 goes to interest payments.

Bureau,
Office of Management and Budget, Congressional Budget Office, and
Government Accountability Office (used to be Government Accounting
Office).

Re: Why Cheney can't shoot straight

There is flat out no excuse for Chenny shooting the guy. He is not fit
to use a gun around others because you NEVER discharge your gun if you
field of fire is not clear when hunting. No if's, but's, and's or or's.
Of bigger concern was they sat on it for 24 hours before it leaked out
and it makes you wonder if he had been shot dead if you would have ever
heard about it at all.

He'll get away with it though, because he's the VP.

It obviously took that long to make sure everyone on scene had the
story just right. Repetition to memory takes some time.

Waiting to see if he'd die isn't likely, but indeed possible. Too bad
they're so untruthful that you can't trust anything they say.
