I'd like to draw attention to Harry Reid from the great State of Nevada. He
took $68,000 from Abramoff years before DeLay took his money.
Be careful about pointing crooked little fingers across the aisle.
PS
Then, there's Al Gore taking an all-expense paid vacation to Saudi Arabia,
then ratting out his own country for stuff that NEVER happened, or at least
he has no facts to back his assertions up with.
If they broke the laws then prosecute them. I don't care if
they're Democrats or Republicans. Just happens that the
Republicans are leaving the Democrats in the dust as far
as corruption goes, but if there are (and of course there are)
corrupt Democrats, then get their asses out of there too.
The Republicans almost exclusively only grease the palms of their
contributors.

There won't be any Republican politicians left to run for office.

In truth the whole problem isn't a Republican vs Democrat thing. Its
that the
whole system is broke. We have a system were a politician needs a lot
of money to get and stay elected, and let's not fool ourselves, that's
the bottom line for a politician.
We need to make PACs totally illegal and somehow remove the whole
campaign contributions way of funding elections. Until we do that, our
politicians are working for the special interest groups and not its
citizens.

right to 'petition the government for redress of grievancese.' ;)

You REALLY need to get out more. Are you aware that Public Employee Labor
Unions are -- by far -- among the largest contributors to any (that's A-N-Y)
political party, and they contribute at a ratio of nearly 4:1 to democrat
causes and candidates? They successfully campaigned to force all public
emploees contribute to democrat causes even if the employees send their own
money to republican issues. This is a system ripe for abuses, and nobody can
do shit about it, and democrats don't want to do anything because if they
did, it would be much the same as shooting oneself in the foot.
