If you have an automatic transmission, try shifting into neutral and see if
it starts. If it does, then the neutral safety switch is bad. Check the
battery clamps to make sure they are tight and free of corrosion. Otherwise
the contacts in the starter solenoid may be suspect. Check for power to the
solenoid. If there is power to the solenoid, then it is the culprit.
