Survival Stories....No ABS....No Air Bags....No DRLs

Today I drove through very dense fog and a LOT of idiots and

SURVIVED

without ABS or Air Bags or DRL's!

I did turn on my headlights...but it was my choice (and of course
Florida law)

Wow, how did you do that? Were you scared? Please write a book so the
rest of us can learn how to survive without these safety devices.

I totaled a car on an old WPA bridge in northeastern Mississippi at about 45
mph and walked away from the accident. In a car with no ABS, no air bags or
DRL's, a 1980 Toyota Corolla SR-5 with the long hatch.

Too bad Charles, you might not have had this interesting post to
type if you had had a couple of those safety features!...

Re: Survival Stories....No ABS....No Air Bags....No DRLs

:D I crashed my first car in fog, with no ABS, air bags or DRLs, - managed
to drive it clear out of the field i'd dropped 10ft into after the lack of
ABS meant the car wouldnt turn under braking and put me head-on into the
field. The seat belts held me back from the steering wheel so no need for
ABS. The car in front of me had ABS/ABs and DRLs and he went round the
corner fine. Or maybe its cos he was also in a better car.
