OT Nicest Thing A Democrat Ever Said

OK anecdote time

So, I'm headed up to the hardware store to price garden supplies for
this year's tomato and azalea plantings....

I am driving my wife's Honda, the white one with the old John Kerry
bumpersticker.

I park at Home Depot, and this big ass F250 pulls in next to me. Two
strapping guys get out, flannel-clad with baseball caps... and of
course the back of their truck is plastered with republican stickers.

We get out at the same time. We survey each other's bumpers. I look
at them, shrug, and say, "You know, at least we're Americans. We
really are on the same side right?"

The one guy sticks his hand out to shake mine and says, "That's the
nicest thing a Democrat ever said to me. Thanks."

Of course, I shook his hand. That was really nice.

Those guys should come in here and read my postings before they say
thanks, no?

anyway, anecdote over.

well lets see. I supported the JKFP campaign with my money and my
time. I think that would've made it my own deal.

I bought my car after the campaign was over, else I'd have a KFP
sticker on it as well. As it is, I have one of those oval "DEM"
stickers on it to make sure folks know the correct party to support.

He is great, based on that stupid dickhead GWB, no doubt. Glad you're
finally catching on.

You just didn't wanna get your Ass kicked by a couple of Bubbas in a Big
Scary Truck!

No, actually, that was a cool story, Rich. Underneath it all, no matter
which 'side' we're on, we are all Americans, and need to be part of the
'team'.
