I agree...is it an age thing? (I'm no kid!), it just grinds me to
hear of our very old very famous Royal Canadian Mounted Police
knuckling under and allowing foreign born immigrants to wear
turbans on parade instead of the proper dress (Stetson).
All this PC garbage about 'not using certain words' for fear of
offending someone's delicate sensibilities. Of trying to make
foreign immigrants feel 'at home' by adopting some of 'their
customs'...cripes, if they wanted to enjoy our freedoms etc in
this country enough to move here, why should we make it seem as
though they hadn't left home?...makes no sense to allow, and
encourage even, all this 'dilution'.
In some sections of some big cities in Canada you can't tell that
you're not in China (or wherever)...God, they even call it
'chinatown', 'Little Italy' etc.
