A Question For The Gurus

I have a 2001 Toyota Corolla LE with 35k miles and the engine light just
came on. To me this seems early for scheduled maintenance but maybe I am
wrong? Should I try resetting the light first to see if it was a fluke? If
there was really a problem the light will reappear, correct? Anyone know
how I reset the engine light?

Mike

Get your own OBDII reader. I've been very happy with the one I got
here, less than $100:

Could be something like an O2 sensor. If the light does not go out, take it
in for repairs.

Not everything in a car wears out based strictly on the number of miles you
drive it.

Re: A Question For The Gurus

You can usually reset the light by disconnecting the battery cables for
a minute or so. Is it the "maint reqd" light or "check engine"?
