question on 06 Camry navi system

I have two Accords with navi. They both mute music first and then give
voice guidance. This way the voice of important guidance will not be
suppressed by music.

Put a 06 Camry navi on my 04 Sequoia, most of the things work fine except
the voice of guidance is independent of music, they always mixed together.
Is a problem of the incompatibility or it is the design of Camry navi?

I am not familiar with the design of the Camry navigation system. Is the
system like the one in the '00 LS 400 where the navigation display is also
used to control the audio system and HVAC system? The system in the LS
allows navigation system volume to be set for your preferences.

Re: question on 06 Camry navi system

I don't know about the Lexus system either but am sure Camry does not do as
much jobs through its navi screen. At least not the AC control. Sine there
is no space for other audio component, these days' double DIN also does
audio at the same time.

I am sure Lexus has fancier design in their Navi system but Toyota does not
choose to implement those in the 06 Camry or before. In term of this, Honda
is WAY ahead.
