Matrix/Vibe a-pillar handles?

Is there a kit or OEM part available for the Matrix/Vibe to add an
assist handel to the a-pillar (like on SUVs)? Has anyone done this and
is there any danger(structural compromise) in modifying the a-pilars?
Thanks

Don't do it. Vehicles like the Matrix, with higher roofs have a greater
tendency to roll over. If you drill holes in the 'A' pillar and the car
rolls over your mother-in-law could get killed

I thought I already posted a response, but I'll give it another shot. If
your car has side curtain air bags, then a handle can interfere with air bag
deployment. Look above the door, if there are plugs there you can install a
handle over the door.
