I will admit that my knowledge of Amish culture and religion is limited to a
few articles, the move "Witness," and driving through an Amish community on
the way to Boy Scout camp, but don't the Amish prohibit ownership of cars?

I envision the Amish as honest, hard-working folk, ideal attributes for any
honest line of work. I would have thought that the ban on ownership of cars
and driving them might make the car business a little problematic. I did
have a co-worker who was a Mennonite, no problem driving and owning cars for
him.
