Iran has announced they have enriched Uranium.

But, they aren't working on a Nuclear Weapons program...

Don't worry, the UN will send them a letter telling them to stop! Or else,
we'll send you another letter.

Who's going to bail out the UN this time?

The next letter should be attached to something that goes BOOM. They don't
seem to be afraid of the UN. They don't seem to have much respect for us,
either. "We cheese-eating surrender monkeys will send you yet another
letter. Your mother was a hampster and your father reeked of elderberries.
.. . . . " (The French Taunter, still alive and well and living in France.)

What baffles me about these tinpot world-power wannabees is that
they think nuclear this-n-that will solve any of their problems.

The more technically advanced nations have already gone down that
road and proved that (a) nuclear weapons are, in effect, unusable
unless you are tired of living in a habitable world and (2) power
tech isn't there (yet) and in the longer term you pay a gigantic
bill for cleaning up the dirty stuff. Either way, it's not worth
doing (yet -- maybe some bright spark one day will devise a safe,
clean way to make nuclear fusion work).

You get better value out of cruise-missile factories or schools
for indoctrinating gullible kids into being suicidal -- ask any
world power or world terrorist.

Re: Here's a comforting thought

How?

This is controlled by the UN. We don't make a move unless the UN says to.

Remember Gulf War 101. Stormin' Norman coulda had Hussain Salami but Kofee
said Nofee...

We have to take a wait-and-see attitude. It appears Russia and China feel
comfortable about it and they're closer to Iran than we are.

They're in bed with them. Just like France, Russia, and Germany were
with Iraq.
