So, what exactly do you mean by "teaching Homosexuality"?
They're showing porno to second graders?

LEXINGTON, Mass. -- There is more controversy at a Lexington elementary
school, where once again a parent is upset about gay themes being inserted
into the curriculum, reported WCVB-TV in Boston.
This time, the mother of a second-grader is upset that her son's teacher
read the class a book highlighting two gay princes.
The station reported that some parents of students at the Estabrook
Elementary School are upset that the students were read a book called "King
and King," the story of prince who is interested in the brother of the
princess.
"My problem is that this issue of romantic attraction between two men is
being presented to my 7-year-old as wonderful and good and the way things
should be," parent Robin Wirthlin said. "We feel like 7 years old is not
appropriate to introduce homosexual themes."
The Estabrook School is the same school that garnered attention last year
after another father, David Parker, was arrested when he protested the
school's decision to have his 5-year-old son's class read a book depicting
gay families.
Parker was arrested and banned from school property for refusing to leave
without a promise from school officials that he would be notified in advance
if similar material was going to be taught.
Although school officials said their goal in exposing the children to such
topics was to be inclusive as possible, Parker's position was not tolerated.

Honestly, that's no more outrageous than the lies in history books

There sure isn't. I've spotted gay kids as young as 3. Nobody around them
was even remotely gay. You're born with it, but most refuse to believe
that.
Like a guy in Phoenix said, "If homosexuality is a choice, then what's the
sales pitch?"
Nobody's lining up to be ostracized, beaten and sometimes even killed.

Still doesn't mean that classroom time should be used for it.
There is a whole lot of other stuff the time would be better spent on.

children...I have no knowledge in that regard but the rest of
your post stands to reason...

I agree that it's way too much for kids that age, though. That's the sort
of thing parents should discuss with their kids, not teachers. I have
always been very honest with my kids, and never sugar-coated anything. Not
even when they were really little. I'd like to think that's why I'm not a
grandma yet.

Well you've got me beat, I've not even been a father yet. I'm going to be
an uncle in about 7 months, that's probably as near as I'll ever get.

I agree that they can handle a lot more than we think they
can...I also agree that when they ask they get the straight
goods, calmly accurately and in simple terms...elaborating only
when asked...avoiding words like 'Tooth Fairy' and 'Storks' and
'Cabbage Patches'. :)

That's too bad Charles...there's a lot to be said for the
condition. I have 4 kids. All adults with at least one of their
own each (8 grandkids total). A joy to behold...spoil 'em then
give'm back to their mom... :)

Sorry, whether you believe it's learned or inate doesn't mean schools
should be forcing it upon children. This is the same argument
non-religious people use to get God out of schools. Just because some
people think homosexuality is natural and an acceptable lifestyle
doesn't mean I believe that and I don't want my children to be exposed
to that.
