OT. An email to nbc

Are you network in a race to see who can 'outstupid' each other first?

"I'm almost getting Heterosexual Feelings"? (On the Miss USA program)

I have heard some dumb things said on TV, and this qualifies as one of the dumbest.

Keep up the good work. You'll be the stupidest network on TV yet.

I was surprised and pleased when I found out the two last "race to make a
meal within 50 minutes" episodes were cancelled and DOND was back. But DOND
was a repeat.
I watched about 5 minutes of Miss USA and that's only because I couldn't
find the remote to turn it off while I was also trying to get the rental DVD
to eject out of the carousel.
I'm almost ashamed to admit it but my wife's choice "Must Love Dogs" was a
good movie. Maybe I should get my testosterone level checked.

I now only watch one cable channel - HBO to watch Sopranos. Thank God for
Netflix.

I was surprised, because Howie said "Miss USA follows afterwards." It was
a repeat ("Pork Chop")

They must have shown it out of squence last week!

I watched all of 15 minuts of Miss USA. The 'music' was driving me nutz,
and then the "Heterosexual Feelings" remark just pushed me over the edge.

With some exceptions, Miss America contestants would probably be well
advised to not talk.

Some of their past utterances make Quayle, Gore, Bush, Kerry and of
course hizzoner Nagin seem to be on the fast track to become rocket
scientists.

Yes, this is true! Some of them really did check their brains at the door.

But, I haven't really seen any of the 'pagents' for a few years.
As much of a Conservative as I am (and, as much of a MAN as I am) I still
view it as just parading meat in front of the public.
Back when they had a vote, I actually voted AGAINST keeping the Swim Suit
contest.
Yes, looking good is fine, but we're talking an unofficial 'representative'
here, and how big your boobs are has no bearing on how you represent your
country.
