Interesting commode design. You straddle it instead of sitting on it.
It's probably a lot cleaner and people don't sit on them for a long
time reading newspapers. I wonder how they keep from falling in when
cleaning themselves.

A number of years ago I went to Japan on a business trip.

Visited Mitsubishi.

I excused myself to go to the restroom and encountered the first of
the sensor flush urinals.

They got a big kick out of me laffing about trying to find the damend
flush button...

The commode style in the video is the traditional Japanese design. Most are
converting to "western" designs now. I recall that trains have signs to
identify which type is inside.
