Engine oil leaking in TOYOTA COROLLA 1994

Engine oil of my car TOYOTA COROLLA 1994 leaks after running for few
miles.
Mileage of the car is 108k what could be the cause? I see oil traces
under the car when car is parked.

I bought car 4 months back and it never gave me any problem before.
Though timing belt of the car was changed at 68k. In last 4 months i
drove the car for about 4K in and around city.

What would be the total expenditure to fix the problem?

It is still having some engine oil, just over the low mark. So will it
be wise to drive the car to a mechanic(As it is still running fine.) or
i should get it towed to nearest mechanic

Thanks

Engine oil can leak from several places. Possible sources of leaks are
valve cover gasket, crankshaft front and rear seal, head gasket, distributor
shaft o-ring, oil pressure sender, oil pan gasket, oil pan drain plug, and
oil filter housing. If it is a fast leak, I'd start by checking the oil
pressure sender.

If you fill the oil to the full mark, it should be safe to drive to a
service facility, as long as the oil pressure warning light on the
instrument panel is not illuminated.

Thats a bit of an open question without any information about where on
the engine it is dripping from etc. Get under the front and spot where
it comes from then maybe people could give a decent diagnosis and come
up with an approx cost. If you cant/dont want to get under the front
then just whip it to a garage (its fine so long as its above min and
you dont hammer it) and get them to diagnose/quote.

Unless the oil is really leaking out fast (keep track), just add oil to bring the dipstick back up to normal. When you get time, carefully look around the engine. Ray O has stated the most likely causes of leaks. If you can’t find the problem, take it to a mechanic.
