As for me, I LOVE boring. I love to sit around the house doing nothing but
playing on the computer, never worrying about when next I'll take the Toyota
in to the garage, not having to know the service writer by sight or by his
first name, not having to write large checks to the dealer, not having
to.....well, you get the idea. I love boring.
Our second car is a '97 Camry, and it's surely the most boring car I've ever
owned....it's only been in the shop twice (for brake work and maintenance
items) in the past nine years, but it's fairly low mileage, having only
133,000 miles on it. Boring, yes, it certainly is.
On the other hand, GM cars are really exciting....I used to get excited each
time one of them actually started and when the pavement under them didn't
have oil spots, etc.[color=blue]

In '79 I bought a Yamaha 650 twin. It was Yamaha's version of the
classic British twin-cylinder motorcycle.

A friend owned a Triumph Bonneville 750. It was a bit nicer looking
than my Yamaha, a little bit faster, handled a bit better, and was far
more exotic. All in all the Triumph was a more exciting bike.

It was so exciting it needed a pan underneath it in the garage to
catch the leaking oil, an expert on the Lucas electronics to keep them
working, and a chase bike to catch parts as they fell of when you rode
the thing. :-)

My Yamaha was boring. All I ever got to do was ride it.
