"Senior Vatican officials tried to damp down fury over the speech in which
the Pope quoted from a medieval text saying that the Prophet Mohammed had
brought the world "only evil and inhuman" things."
THe Pope apologized earler. His apology was not accepted by the Muslim
world.
So, how do these level headed Muslims respond? Why, they BOMB CHURCHES, of
course!!!!

Islam sure sounds like a benevolent and forgiving religion, doesn't it?

Certainly does! Not only were churches bombed, but the Pope was burned in
effigy a few times, too.
Then again, we can't forget the Crusades or the Spanish Inquisition
either, can we?

It has got to be the most peaceful loving religion ever. Killing innocents
sure makes me want to be a muslim....well kill a muslim anyway.

If I interpret correctly, the original speech (to a select group of
scholars) discussed if rationality had a place in religious thought.
I guess we have that answer - the Muslim authorities can't even
comprehend and interpret the darned speech! They just see "evil" and
"Islam" somewhere in the same paragraph and go off on a violent spree.
The self-fulfilling prophesy is that, in their reaction to perceived
anti-muslim slights, they may just make enough of a nuisance of
themselves that we have to ACTUALLY wipe them out.
Crusade 2007! And this time, it won't be swords and iron helmets...

Well, they keep making themselves look like the narrow minded bigots that
Gladys Kravitz keeps making religious conservatives here in the US out to
be.
