You really have to shop around. Like I said before I was shopping for
Camry SE V6 fully loaded with Navigation. The first 4 dealers I went
all wanted at or close to MSRP price. I finally found one that is
willing to negotiate and got it down 2500g from MSRP.
3 things you want to make them know when you negotiate:
1) You are a serious buyer that want to buy now if the price is right.
But only when the price is right.
2) Negotiate around invoice up, and never settle less than 2g off
MSRP. Don't be shy to make your first offer 4g-5g less than sticker.
It's call negotiating - it's a tug-of-war
3) If you are financing, make sure you know the rate they offer you
before you sign your buying agreement. Many times they will give you
ridiculous rate (like 9.9%) if they know you are gullible. Like this
time I bluff them and said my bank offered me a low 5.9% if you can't
match I'll just give you my bank's number. Behold, somehow they were
only able to offer 9.9% before and all of a sudden they *found* a way
to offer me 5.9%
