As a True Hetero, I don't like to see women harrassed, regardless
if the women are Nominal Heteros, True Heteros, or Gay women for that matter.
Our friend Gary B. obviously is a Nominal Hetero (not a True Hetero)
as he pathologically harrasses a certain nurse in this newsgroup.
I enjoy reading Gary's posts on other matters, but not his harrassing
posts. Personally, I wouldn't mess around with "Terms Of Service" nonsense.
I'd just go directly to law enforcement or the F.B.I. if the harrassing
persists.
By the way, this brings up a related subject. Have you ever noticed
that rapists and serial killers all seem to be Nominals? Every rapist
or serial killer I've seen video footage of on TV News or TV
documentaries is a Nominal, not a True Hetero! What's up with that!
Now I don't mean to cast a wide aspersion on my Nominal friends.
The overwhelming majority of you are fine folks, as fine as
True Heteros. Some of my best friends are Nominals (and I don't mean
to be sarcastic by saying that). I'm simply making an observation.

The way you are obsessed with homosexuals I doubt whether you could put
yourself in the "true hetero" category.

Among other people he harrasses also.

Which ones are not harrassing?

Maybe that's because they can't get laid any other way since they are
so messed up in their head as to their sexuality. Maybe they are
trying to prove to someone they aren't homosexual. Besides, it's a
damn good chance rape isn't about sex, it's more about exercising power
over someone else.

He's ragging again? I thought he got over me. Guess not. Killfiles are

It's definitely about power, since many of them are impotent.

No, so far so good! He didn't have to go the first time, because someone
made an error in personnel. Since he had just returned from an overseas
assignment (Korea), he was untouchable for another 8 months. He's up for
grabs now though.

LOL Bush caused the hurricanes? Wow; he really *is* powerful! Hurricanes
just dump a lot of rain in this part of NC (So far). We got a lot of
Katrina evacuees (Many stayed, cuz of the very low cost of living; you can
live very well with less than half the income of most places.)

> Ron in California - no, not a Pelosi fan!
Lived in Victorville (Where I met hubby, while we were both stationed at the
now-defunct George AFB. Son was born on that base).
I've heard of Pelosi, but I try not to delve too deeply into politics. Too
depressing.
Glad he has been home for a while Nat. Good you have a career to help
with the apart times.
I was being a wise ass about hurricanes. I have seen the floods on
TV. But wasn't the Titanic sunk by an iceberg that was broken off
because of warming?
I live way north in California (Redding) - NOT cheap here. Typical
3/2 house say 1500sf on modest lot at least 300K. Most newer ones are
450 or so - no one but bay area refugees can afford to buy (they sold
their 2 br 1000 sf for 800-1000000!) and put 500 in bank.
Anyone making less than 150 can't live around here unless they've
owned for years.

It was an iceberg, but from what I've read on the subject, the arrogant
captain was the biggest problem.

Good gawd, that's insane. I refuse to pay ridiculous money to live in a
place that's too damned big and congested in the first place.

problem with rent controls, while fine in theory, is how can someone
have a 300 k piece of property, pay 3000+ yearly taxes, 1000+
insurance then be expected to rent it for 1000k month?
Its tough from either side!
I could buy my house or nicer in parts of Texas or plains states for
120. Probably quadruple that here!

There are *lots* of places that are way cheaper than CA!

Technically, the answer would have to be "yes". But (AFAIK) the
warming was the ordinary, year-by-year variety, not "global w.".
As Wicked Oll observes, much of the problem appears to have been
the fact that the company (as represented by the Captain) wanted
to make good time on the maiden voyage, so went faster than was,
in retrospect, wise. Of course, had "Titanic" arrived safely in
the US, we might still think of icebergs+ships very differently.

That's Wicked Doll (Two Ds :-))
Don't you think by now we'd know better than to navigate into an iceberg by
now? LOL
Ah, but to me, Natalie, you will always be a-- Uh, never mind,
we could be straying into Fwap Country. <g>

> Don't you think by now we'd know better than to navigate into

You'd hope. OTOH, had ships managed to dodge icebergs a little
better than the poor old "Titanic" did, maybe by now we'd be so
skilled at dodging, or minimising the damage, that we'd not see
them as such a gut-level-instinctive-oh-my-GAWD-it's-an-ICEBERG
threat, merely a "hmm, better avoid that one" hazard.
I have in mind how modern cars are so good at protecting twerps
who drive crazily that: (a) the twerps don't learn what they've
escaped; and (b) the gene pool as whole doesn't improve.

Oh man, ain't that the truth! Just like drunk drivers being so relaxed,
that they are often the least of the injured in the accidents *they* cause.

For those who might not know, it used to be one year in Iraq, one
year off. Before that, I think it was one year in Iraq, 18 months off.
Now it's down to a paltry 8 months off. Must do wonderful things to one's
central nervous system.
President Bush is doing his part, too. For every 364 days
in Washinton, he spends one day in Iraq.

So the time off between multiple "tours of duty" in Iraq has
fallen from 18 months to 12 months to 8 months. We're winning
over there alright. Queen Bush knows what he's doing...
Didn't "Scott_in_Florida" say some troops are already on their
third tour of duty in Iraq?
By the way, good luck to your husband.
