I was driving my Geo Prizm down the highway today and I saw another Geo
ahead of me going slightly less than the speed limit. I normally wouldn't
have noticed it, but it was in great shape like mine is. Once it was behind
me though, I looked in my rear view mirror and saw a Toyota emblem on the
grill of the car. Being that it had said Geo Prizm on the back makes me
wonder if this car was ever marketed with the Toyota emblem. Any ideas?

It was either a Corolla with a Prizm front clip, or a Prizm with a
Corolla trunk lid.

Most likely, the owner damaged the front grille on his Prizm, went to a
junkyard or Toyota dealer, got the grille from a Corolla, and put it on his
Prizm.
Another possibility is that he got the emblem off of a Corolla and put it on
in place of the Geo emblem. You may notice that the emblems for the Geo,
Toyota, Lexus, and Scion are all about the same size and would fit in the
same oval space allotted. My dad put a Soarer badge on his Supra because it
fit.

My stepfather wanted a Chevy Tahoe many years ago but couldn't find one
for the price he wanted to pay. So he bought a GMC Yukon instead and
then went to the Chevy dealer and bought the Tahoe grill. After he
replaced the Yukon grill he had the only Tahoe/Yukon around!

Must have been the Canadian version, the Tuquon. :-)

It was hard to tell going 60MPH, but this prizm was in great shape and never
looked like it had been wrecked so I'm guessing they probably just got
themselves an emblem from somewhere. God, I've turned into such a
Prizm/toyota groupie.

Where the hell did he get a Soarer badge?
And, why the hell didn't he put it on a Lexus SC400, where it belongs!?

He got it from a friend of his in Japan who can get pretty much anything he
wants that is Toyota/Lexus -related.

He originally had it on his Supra, then put in on the LS. I've been trying
to talk him into the SC, but he prefers sedans now.
