You right wingers really miss out by failing to watch the 2 funniest shows
on tv... the Daily Show and the Steve Colbert Report both on the comedy
channel.
The other day Steve Colbert announced that he was under court order to do a
show on women's issues. He had Jane Fonda and Gloria Steinam on and he
interviewed them on woman's issue while the 3 baked an apple pie. Jane
rolled the crust while Gloria sliced apples. It was so funny I had to take
a break from my TIVO recording for a while until I could stop laughing.

I am certain they would enjoy the Daily Show, with all the footage of
President Bush that is shown.

Jane sure was having fun but that Steinem woman sure takes herself
seriously.
I like that Colbert fellow, especially when he leaves his guests
speechless.
By the way, did you realize it is satire? He doesn't really believe what he
says. He is actually a Democrat in real life. I'd hate to think you right
wingers think he is being serious.

OMG, Art! You gave the game away! With the reichwingers average ignorance
of satire, they thought Colbert was one of theirs! shame on you.

Steven Colbert is a talented comedian who makes fun of everyone.
Whichever party he leans toward is immaterial as long as he continues
to provide satirical humor. That's one reason Saturday Night Live was
popular for such a long time. The best kind of comedy is the kind that
you can relate to personally. You see Art, the difference between most
liberals and conservatives is that conservatives are able to laugh at
themselves but liberals take themselves way too seriously.

Actually the skit by Jane Fonda and Gloria Steinam pretty much proved
otherwise. So does the Daily Show every single day. The other day they had
a hilarious report about Ivy League students rushing a podium and not
letting a conservative speaker finish his material. Jon Stewart destroyed
the students in his report.

How does your example prove otherwise? Now Jane Fonda was having fun
and playing the part. Gloria Steinem was obviously uncomfortable and
was trying to not come unglued. She couldn't stand Colbert telling her
what to do even though he was just messing with her.
By the way, the Playboy bunny outfit Steinem was posing in during her
younger years fit her rather nicely. Too bad they didn't have one of
Fonda from thirty years ago. She was quite a head turner.
Your Ivy League students were practicing tolerance I see.

Yeah I was thinking about how Rush Bimbo likes poking fun at himself.
