If they feel that regulating trans fats is needed then how about the use
of butter, salt, red meat, sugar, ect, where does it stop. In the
future will it come down to the government approved menus and what we
even eat at home.

Those are all things that are ok in moderation, and they're natural
products.
Hydrogenated fats are not ok, even in moderation, they're not terribly
natural, and they shouldn't be in foods.
