OT - Kerry a campaign no-show over comment

LOL, way to go JFK...

"Democrats cringed, though, at the prospect of the Massachusetts
senator becoming the face of the party for the second consecutive
national campaign. "No one wants to have the 2004 election replayed,"
said Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y."

The Dims have Howard Dean locked up as well. They do not want voters to see
the real face of the once great Democrat party today.

Actually, this is not entirely accurate. Pelosi has certainly been
active and vocal. Local press (Washington Post) has had coverage but
National TV news has not. National coverage appears to be more a matter
of getting a good-for-ratings sound bite than anything else, especially
governance.

Also, you do recognize all the jokers are out of DC and in their home
districts, don't you?

Newspaper coverage is not the same as television coverage. They can
hide a lot of moronity in the written press through editing and how the
speeches are described. When on TV the viewer can see and hear for
themselves what the politicians are saying. There is very little the
media can do other than only show certain snippets.

Let's face it, you know full well Pelosi, Reid, Kennedy, Kerry, Dean,
etc. can only hurt their party's chances by speaking than they can help
it. Those idiots are so snobbish or extremist that the average
American voter will be immediately turned off from them when they hear
them pontificating. That's why when everyone knows voters don't pay
attention until the last few weeks leading up to an election they hide
their fringe politicians from public view.

What is the "Daily Show", a comedy program? It just shows where you
get your mainstream news facts from.

It's only for people who have nothing else better to do.

Unlike Rush and Ann-the-man, at least the Daily Show is often
humerous. They also don't lie as much on the Daily Show as they do on
things like Rush's show or the Oreilly BS Factor.

I don't have the time to sit around and watch TV.

Do you really believe that a comedy program is a source of fact about
politics? You are living in a delusional state of mind if you really
accept what you are seeing on that show as truth. It is half-truths at
the best, designed to make you laugh.

My suggestion to you would be to broaden your sources of information.
Start with newswires that are supposed to just report facts without
opinion. AP, UPI, Reuters etc. Don't believe everything you read
there either since even the newswires have been forced to retract
images and stories they have published. After that check various other
news entities for different slants on the "facts" and finally use your
own common sense and experience to process the bullshit on each side to
deem what is probably the truth. That usually lies somewhere in
between what is reported and what is rumored.

You are wasting your life on this newsgroup and then claim you have no time

Re: OT - Kerry a campaign no-show over comment

Jon Stewart had a hilarous take on Kerry's refusal to apologize for his slip
of the brain. Too bad the rightwingers missed it.

I don't consider any part of it "hilarous" or funny and neither do the
GI's. The democrat pundits can try to spin it any way they want but
this one is going to stick on Kerry along with all the others. I'm
really tired of kerry and the democrats trying hard to undercut our
efforts against terrorists and mostly undercut the efforts of our brave
GI's all in the name of their want for power, how selfish. It is
disgraceful and disrespectful their acts.
