How to remove door panel ('99 Corolla)?

This is my wife's car. She broke the inside door handle (driver door),
so she can only open the door from the outside. I found an aftermarket
door handle, but haven't been able to remove the inside door panel. I
see one screw in the armrest, and what LOOKS like a plastic phillips
head screw on the left side, but doesn't actually unscrew. Other than
that, there are of course the snap-in connectors. I've snapped "out"
every one I can (also removed the manual mirror adjustment handle), but
there is something still holding the panel in. I don't want to break
any more than what's already broken! Any tips are appreciated, thanks.
