Democrats say will push for Iraq withdrawal
Sun Nov 12, 2006 12:08pm ET145
By Tabassum Zakaria
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democrats, who won control of the U.S.
Congress, said on Sunday they will push for a phased withdrawal of
American troops from Iraq to begin in four to six months, but the
White House cautioned against fixing timetables.
"First order of business is to change the direction of Iraq policy,"
said Sen. Carl Levin, a Michigan Democrat who is expected to be
chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee in the new Congress.
Sorry sore loser, the idiots you were campaigning for lost.

How is that surrendering, neocon dupe? It's not our country. We've
nothing to surrender.

Again, where's the surrender, neocon? Come on, point it out.

The troops will be withdrawn during your boy's term in office. His father's
running the show for a while, fortunately. Your boy once said "I'm a war
president". That didn't work. Now, he will pretend to disagree with the
Democrats, but his father will make sure he goes along with whatever they
want so when he leaves office, he'll at least be able to say he "saved
lives".

Just as we predicted the Congress will cut funding to the Defense
Department and begin withdrawing troops from Iraq. They will use the
excuse that the American people wanted this result and that Iraq will
have to be given over to terrorists because then they will not bother
us anymore.

Israel will have to strike first, and for the first time Israel will

I doubt that very much. Remember - we're talking about the country which
intentionally tried to sink one of OUR ships, just because it was listening
to all their communications during the 6 day war. Israel wouldn't hesitate
for a moment to strike Iran first. This might be the best (and only) reason
for our presence in the Middle East - as a moderating factor, if you can
believe that.

OR they will divert DoD funds Rummy earmarked for modernization and
start building Bradleys so our troops won't have to ride around in
Hummer death-traps.
and begin withdrawing troops from Iraq.
And let them defend themselves? What a concept.
They will use the
clearly stated voice of the electorate[color=blue]

unlike Iran

OR we can let the warring Iraqi tribes kill each other while our troops
watch from the sidelines.

All of the credible info I've been seeing on that incident show that
it was an accident. Both the US and Israel made mistakes and the
result was a tragedy.
