If you've been paying any attention to the news, you *know* it was before
the election, you *know* the military was having trouble getting enough new
recruits for months on end, & you *know* that they relaxed their standards
for new recruits in order to up their numbers. Jeez, Google it if you
really have to.

Heh - I _just_ told him to Google it if he really needs to.

Cathy, you have to help him. Give him the actual words to search for. He
claims he has me killfiled. You have to do it. Then, he'll killfile you,
too. :)

You are basing your knowledge only on unconfirmed media reports before
elections, LOL.
You are beginning to sound like a kerry Cathy. Don't call the brave
guys and gals of our military "dumbed down". That is arrogant and
without respect to those who would risk all for you.

Re: Rangel to introduce bill reviving military draft
Speaking of reviving the draft, a local marine, Lance Corporal
John McClellan came home to Columbia today after being shot in
the head in Iraq in September. They say a sniper got the poor
fella. He was in the hospital for 2 months.

Moron. Every reliable news source in this country carried the stories,
beginning in 2005. Every one of them. No exceptions. None.

McCllelan is only 20 years old. He spent some time at a
military treatment facility in Tampa.

OMG - this was *all over* the news, for months & months & months. I am NOT
making it up. And they - the military, not me! - *did* relax the rules, in
order to up the number of recruits.

Don't respond to him any further from this point on. He's choking your
chicken, so to speak.

The 20-year old's gunshot wound to his head was his *Third*
wound this year. 3 wounds in a year!
And yes, the military has relaxed standards. They're now taking
people as old as 40 or 42. I think the previous maximum age for
enrollment was 35?
