King Missile comes to mind on this PHINE Thanksgiving holiday. Here is
a little ditty written in 1991, called The Indians, I've snipped it
after much seeking. In good taste heres a link to the album on
Amazon.com. It is a must-have:
The Indians lived all over this land before we came and killed them.
That was very bad of us.
We thought we needed the land,
But for the most part,
We just ruined it anyway,
And now, nobody can use it.
That's the way we are.
We're pigs.
One of my favorite foods to eat is called corn.
The Indians call it , "maize."
We call the Indians , "Indians."
This is because Columbus thought he was in India
When he first came to this land.
Some people say we should call the Indians, "Native Americans,"
'Cause they were here in America before us,
But before us,
This land wasn't called, "America."
It was named "America" by a mapmaker who never even came here.
He just lived in Europe
And made maps and when he found out about this land,
He just made a map of it,
And just put his name on it,
'Cause he could.
That's the way we are.
We're pigs.
As I was writing this,
A cockroach fell from the sky and onto the table.
I killed it,
'Cause I did.
That's the way I am.
This doesn't really have very much to do with the Indians, though.
I guess I got kind of sidetracked.
Anyway, I hope you see my point.
You've sunk to a new low in Blaming America First.

Perhaps you should read about the history of the Aztecs and the Mayas.
The Aztec kingdom fought a great and bloody battle in ca 1402 to found
the Aztec kingdom -- in fact, Mexica, the island in Lake Texco where
the Aztecs fled, is where Mexico and Texas derive their names.
Moctezuma I, who led the Aztec Empire from ca 1440-1469, was a fearless
and ruthless warrior emperor who toppled the entire Meso-American world
order and presided over an empire of some fifty million subjects.

Apparently you do not read the shit you post before you post it. If I need
to explain where you sink to a new low in yoiur Blame America First
campaign, then you won't understand -- which makes you the stupid one here.

You didn't answer the first question. The reason that Native Americans were
such great warriors even before Europeans came to the New World is that they
fought among each other, and because they frequently were nomads, they could
not live together in peace.
Granted that Native Americans were often not treated fairly by the colonists
and later by the USA, but a large part of that is based on the warlike
nature of the Native American culture and their inability to live in a
civilized society.

It was the fifteenth century and the 'Indians' still did not have the wheel.
How advanced could they have been?

another's land, as long as it is not from Native Americans? ;)

If Little Richard AKA dick, would do a proper search, Little Richard AKA
dick, would discover the land on which the Pilgrims landed was given to them
by the locals. The journals from the colony are stored in the Smithsonian
Institution and recorded in the Congressional Record ;)

BTW, since you seem to be a civilized person with an extensive and
sophisticated vocabulary, you might be interested in this show on Discovery
Channel:
"Ice Age Columbus: Who Were the First Americans?"
It airs next on Dec 30, 2006 at 03:00 PM EST/PST (check local listings).
"New archaeological finds indicate that discovery of America was made 17,000
years before Columbus sailed the ocean blue. Chart the epic journey of Stone
Age hunters from their homeland in France to their first permanent
settlement in the northeastern US."
In addition to the archeological evidence, there is genetic (DNA) evidence
that Europeans where the first Americans.

The Maya had the wheel in ca 5th century CE. They had an advanced
clock which measured a 365 day year and was operated by rolling a
series of geared wheels across a chart to determine the exact day of
the year. In addition, they were able to accurately predict celestial
events such as lunar eclipses, and they had the numeral 0 almost one
thousand years before Europeans did. Needless to say mathematically
they were a far advanced civilization for the time.

care.

The point is that Europeans arrived in America before the "so-called" native
Americans. For all we know, the "native Americans" killed off the European
settlers who were in America first.
Personally, I don't really care who got here first (although you seemed
obsessed with it). When Europeans arrived again in the 15th century, there
was plenty of room for everyone.
