Welcome back Scott, hope you're not getting pelted with as much rain as
we are. Kind of depressing, but hey... at least it's not snow ;-)

I live pretty near Siesta Beach. Last night I went for a
walk/photography visit. No rain, just BEAUTIFUL.
We could use the rain!

Democrats are not in control yet. Bush deficits is causing the long
predicted collapse of the dollar. Everyone promised it would happen. China
has been buying US debt for years. The party is over. China just signed a
major deal with India.

By raising the minimum wage so the working poor will pay higher taxes, fewer
of them will have jobs but hey that's progress. ;)

That is true according to theoretical economists but you know how accurate
they are predicting the economy. Might as well use a dart board instead.
So in my opinion, do what many states have already done with positive
results in every case.... raise the minimum wage.

I was recently in one of the new automated fast food joints in NJ, with one
of my great grand children. About 1/5 as many employees it appeared. ;)
When the hell did we ever give the federal government the 'right' to set a
minimum wage in the first place. Must have been the same Dim Congress that
a pension plan for what the founders called our Citizen Legislators. The
commerce clause has caused Americans to lose more rights than any other
clause in the Constitution.

Yeah. Must be those darn Democrats, who aren't even installed in office
yet.
It couldn't possibly be the 6 years of financial mismanagement from the Bush
White House coming home to roost. I'm sure it's entirely unrelated to the
$300billionPLUS deficits that Bush, Hastert and Frist have steered us into
for the last 6 years.
Yeah. It's that Democrat majority that goes into office NEXT month.
Geez. And you think WE'RE the "dim" ones. Get a clue.

The market is fearful of what is to come, dimmies in control of the
purse strings. The market under GWB has reached record highs.

Do they seriously think the Democrats can do worse than Bush/Hastert/Frist?
Get real.

Sure. Tax breaks for the wealthy. It makes them giddy and prone to buying
crap on Wall Street. Hucksters love that environment.
Of course, high stock prices do nothing for the economy's real health.

For the Dims that don't understand the Stock Market (and may other things
for that matter), the market values are based on future expectations. In
other words, what the dim bulbs will do for the next 2 years and how it will
affect the future value of the invested dollar. Cheap tactics like raising
the minimum wage to impress the uneducated underclass (many dimocrats) and
raising taxes (proven to reduce economic growth) are 2 dim ideas that won't
help things.

Absolutely!
They already have.
Raise the minimum wage. That is the stupidest thing anyone can do.
Then there is the Murtha fiasco.
Dims are Dim and continue to prove it...
Then there is that new scum bag Senator from Virginia that thinks
fathers should suck their son's....
