I don't like it that we keep going back to blaming President Clinton
for much of the mess we are in today, but it really is apparent his
policies laid the foundation for the foothold terrorists have today.
That article mentions how some of his advisors were more interested in
looking good than doing good. Granted it is based upon Dick Morris'
book but these things have been documented in many other accounts also.
Certainly President Bush's policies will have repercussions also,
however he was forced to react to a situation that was brought upon us
by the inactions of the previous administration for many years.
Although many will argue deposing Saddam Hussein was the wrong thing to
do all intelligence reports from various sources laid a strong
foundation for his danger to everyone else. I still believe he had
WMDs, they were just transferred to neighboring countries. If the
aftermath of the invasion was handled correctly President Bush would
have been regarded as a visionary and the greatest President ever.
Unfortunately he allowed the insurgency to get out of hand and that
will be a problem down the road. Maybe his new Defense Secretary will
give him better advise on how to quell the secterian violence. There
is still time for all this to work out properly.

That's from Accuracy in Media, an organization that claims to be a
media watchdog but is actually critical of any coverage that isn't
pro-conservative. They even blamed the major networks for being
anti-Reagan in their reporting of the space shuttle Challenger disaster
in 1986.

It's amazing that Bush is pummeled every day and never a word was
mentioned about Clinton and his failings. Here's another interesting

Read my lips:
CLINTON IS NOT THE PRESIDENT ANY MORE.
Even more important, Bush's dad has been spending more public time with
Clinton than with his own son. You should wonder about that.

We had those in Vietnam, they were called wild weasels.

That doesn't address this specific point in history.

You think they got something going?
Because you enjoy these links so much Joe, I'll see if I can find some
really good ones for ya.

Nah...I'm still waiting for sharx to stop being a pansy, and explain why
this strategy was abandoned by your president, even though it was working
perfectly, and could've gone on forever:
http://www.cnn.com/WORLD/9609/04/iraq.operation/index.html
Even Raytheon and the DOD loved it, saying they couldn't have wished for a
better theatre for testing new weapons systems.

There are good golf courses all over the world. Who would refuse two
ex-presidents from making an appearance at their course other than
maybe Augusta National or Cypress Point?
