Is this really much of a surprise? There will be all sorts of reneging
on campaign promises by those who have won seats in Congress,
especially those who have attained their power seats. After all they
promise everything and deliver only to the loudest/richest lobbying
groups.

Do you think the 5-day idea is facing resistance only from Democrats, or
from Republicans, too? Be careful with you answer.

Here we go with the interrogations again...

It doesn't matter who resists. Who is in charge? Who sets the rules?
Who promised one thing and did the opposite?

Now, be careful with your answers, Mr. Gestapo.

Sorry. Let's back up a bit. Were you suggesting that the failure of this
particular promise was due to the Democrats being in control?

The demmies are the ones who set the rules now. Of course, they are
responsible, they are on the hot seat, they are the ones who will be the
focus for the next two years. They dished it out now lets see if they
can take it.

This sounds like the type of rule that will be put to a vote. What do you
think? I haven't checked yet.

Whether this 5-day work week idea will be voted on by the entire House. I
don't know. Do you? I believe it originates from the rules committee. Do
ideas from that committee get voted on?

I don't believe there will be any debate about the rules as they are set
forth by the rules committee. The majority sets the rules, there is no
debate.
