[OT] New reason to wash new clothes before wearing

Sorry to post so off topic, but I just discovered something important - -
why I should have washed a new zipper-front hooded jacket before I wore it.
Got the jacket for my birthday, tried it on - - very comfortable - - and
since then I've been plagued by small pink spots on my arms that itch like
the dickens. I used to think all the washing was for, was to remove
manufacturing oils from the textiles. But now I believe there was something
alive in my new jacket, and I have been its favorite meal in these last
three months. These imported clothes come from gosh-awful places and I can
well believe they harbor illegal alien fauna.

So don't do like I did, spreading the stuff to every jacket I owned - - wash
it before even trying it on.

Chuck

Might also be a reaction to something the coat was permeated with to
make it water proof, etc.
