How can I get the door unlock reprogrammed to open all doors with 1 click

I have a 2006 Toyota Camry XLE and 2007 Rav 4 limited.
I would like to reprogram the remotes. Is this something I can do my
self or
do I have to bring it to the dealer? Do I need to bring booth of my
fobs to the dealer or is the the change made to the car?

What I would like done.

To press unlock once and open all of the doors.

I would like to disable the Panic alarm function

I would like the trunk to open quicker when the button is pressed.

Thanks

I don't think any of these are possible. Try Google Camry Remote and see
what happens. But I think these are safety features and can't be overriden...

I am shopping for a new vehicle and I did ask a few questions regarding
custom remotes.

You can get an aftermarket remote, such as the Lo Jack that replaces your
remote with features your remote may not have.

I would suggest asking about it at the dealer for further details because it
would replace your Toyota programmed remote.

The change would be made to the car, but I doubt it's possible. You're
asking for an override of safety features. If I were Toyota's lawyer
I'd make darned sure those aspects were permanently burned into the
computer's memory.

There's a stranger lurking near your car as you approach. Do you really
want to unlock all the doors simultaneously?

You don't have to disable the panic button. You only have deter an
unintended activation. Buy a sheet of rubber stick-on bumpers, the
shallower the better. Cut one in half and use the halves to bracket the
button. If you first clean the face of the fob with alcohol, the fix
will last for years.

So would I, until I press the trunk-release button by mistake. Then I'm
glad I don't have to go slam the lid shut. The button's delayed action
lets me recover without penalty.

I was wrong. AFAIK, you can do this on the Scion xB, but I haven't found
any instructions for any other Toyota models...

I think it was Hachiroku ???? <Trueno@ae86.gts> who stated:

Do which?

The xB unlocks one door with one click, the rest with the second just
like the Camry.

The panic button works 'zactly like the Camry.

There isn't a trunk opener with the key fob 'cause the xB has a hatch
and the hatch unlocks with rest of the doors and then opens manually
when unlocked.

I think Trueno is SOL, except he can cover the panic button some way.

I didn't know that. It doesn't sound like something I'd want to do,
though; I like it the way it is.[color=blue][color=green]

<chortle> Yeah, that's why my clickers have a medallion on the key
ring that goes over the button and is held in place with velcro. I
decided to do that after a morning when I was leaving a motel room at
around 5:30 and triggered it accidentally. The horns are LOUD (135 db
Stebel air horns[*]nd I'm sure the other folks in the motel weren't a
bit happy 'bout that.

Yup. Same setup.

Of course not. I never have been either, except the time I tried to
program my xB clicker and Camry clicker to both work with both cars.
It was a good idea, but they're on different frequencies, so in spite
of all the contortions I went through trying to do the programming,
they wouldn't work . . . I was SOL . . . .

Thanks for the tip; I may do something along this line. That panic button
can be so annoying. I have yet to set if off on purpose, but how many times
accidentally, sometimes even from inside the house while looking through my
purse (where I keep my keys & somehow manage to hit the panic button) for
something lese?

That rings bells. My car-alarm-at-a-motel story... 1987. Tuba
City, a Navajo village a few miles east of the Grand Canyon with
a very nice motel on the south side. Quiet place, on the whole.
Overnight, some daft b*gger's car alarm kept setting itself off
outside my window. Staff had no idea what to do about it. Owner
clearly didn't know/care. Several outbursts later, I doubt there
was a human or coyote within a mile that was still asleep. Could
have caused an international incident. Or grumpy locals. <g>
