Great answer, but a better one might be "Get behind the wheel, ask your
friend to look under the hood, and then push the horn button. Have your
friend follow the noise to its source."
That way you get to keep seated in comfort while your friend goes deaf.

I wonder why the OP is interested in finding his horn....if it works, what's
the problem?

I can guess why. We just bought a brand new Prius (yea!) and I had to use
the horn to ward off another driver who was mis-signaling. It was a
really meek horn and everyone in the car laughed, including me. My
thought at that moment was 'I gotta replace this horn....'

I think it was "JoeSpareBedroom" <dishborealis@yahoo.com> who stated:

Or one of these

I can sympathize with the OP about finding the horn. My xB horn is
only accessible after removing the front bumper, grill, and a bunch of
other stuff I'd rather not disturb.

I wired the Stebel Nautilus airhorns by tapping into the connector
where the original horn relay used to go inside an electrical box
under the hood instead of disassembling the front of the car.

Horn's duff. Or they fitted a different type in yours. My Prius
yells its head off. Horns aren't exactly rocket science any more.

I wonder what the design-life of a horn is these days? When I worked
for GM in the early 60's the specs called for the horn to be able to
sound for a total of two minutes. That's not two minutes per blast.
That's two minutes summed across the life of the car.

Perhaps they've extended that spec to accommodate horn usage by the
security system?

Install an air horn, like the trucker's use.
