Up here in Canada, you might find yourself with a countersuit on your hands.
It's not uncommon for litigants to counter with a suit of their OWN, after
being sued.

They have adopted that in Florida. If you bring a dumb-ass suit, and lose,
you pay...your attorneys, courst costs...and your opponent's attorneys!
If you're bringing a suit against a giant like Starbuck's for something
stupid, you had better have deep pockets...

Like that idiot who really *IS* suing them for not honoring a coupon...

If I were the judge (or jury) in that case, I'd tell Starbuck's, "Give him
a free coffee". That's all he lost.

In the UK, it has been known for judges in such suits to reward
the winning plaintiffs with trivial damages, such as 1 penny.

"England" is the place where the Frivolous Lawsuit laws originated. Damn
good idea, if you ask me!
