There must be a way to ease them into a full work week. Maybe we can get
the repugs some blankies so they can take a nappie after lunch.

The only trouble I see for longer workweeks is they tend to pass more
laws, uneeded laws. If they are going to have longer workweeks then
they have to be kept busy, so I propose a sunset law, where the congress
would have to revisit every law every two years otherwise it would be
automatically null and void. Would that be a hoot or what.

That would certainly cut back on the amount of new laws passed.

This also would add to their workload. Maybe this is a way of weeding
out some career politicians. When they find out they'll have to work
they will just forget about it.

Without getting too much into a Dem/Rep thing, Congress' work has been
sliding for some years. Pelosi is right to apply the whip. And to open up
committee processes, throw light on earmarking, etc. That was all way out
of control.

I don't believe anything has changed yet nor will it change in the
future. It will be business-as-usual.
