Yes -- you can save gas by putting it in park when visiting the ATM.
The Prius (anyway) is least efficient when just starting up.

Certainly. The gas engine comes on to warm itself up, because
emissions are much lower from a warm engine than a cold engine.
I park it so the hood is in the morning sun, which helps
increase mileage during the warmup period.
