Let's forget about the magazine, newspaper and web articles ect for a
moment. What do YOU think will happen when we pull out of Iraq before
it's stabilized?

Bush created a major problem for the US and the world. A surge won't fix
it. Maybe 200k more troops might help. I haven't heard Bush suggest a
draft yet which would be required for such a troop increase. Tax increases
would also be required. Unfortunately Bush is gutless. If he had learned
anything from Vietnam, he would know that you either seriously fight to win
or you get out. Since he won't do the former, we should do the latter.

You guys have reading problems. I don't want a sermon about Iraq, I
want to know what YOU think will happen to Iraq if the troops leave
before the country is secure/stabilized?? simple?

dbu, you must have one helluva reading comprehension problem. Thus, I'll
copy your question and the first part of my answer. Sorry you don't like
sermons, because you seem to be a master at delivering them, although they
don't make much sense. If you still don't understand,
just SAY SO. Simple.

Not if we do the smart thing* and start backing Muqtada al Sadr, who's
an Iraqi nationalist and hates Iran. But assuming that either a pro-
Iranian faction gains power or nobody does, Iran may feel that it can
muscle in, in which case traditional Arab hatred of Persians should
work against Iran, at least if we provide some covert aid, not only in
Iraq but also in Iran, which is only half of Iran is Persian and the
rest Arab and Kurd..
* Smart only compared to Bush 43 league practices, not Smart for a
high school kid who had read International Policy for Dummies
[color=blue]

I seriously doubt that the Saudis have the guts to fight, except for
their air force, and the royal family wants stability more than
anything else. At most the Saudis will finance Iraqi and al Quada
Sunnis. It's also possible that there will be a Shiite uprising in
eastern Saudi Arabia, where all the oil fields are located. Actually
that's part of Cheney's grand plan -- gain control of Iraq so that
we'll have a reliable Shiite ally, and then have them join with the
Saudi Arabian Shiites to drive the house of Saud out of power and into
the western desert. This has been mentioned elsewhere, possibly in
publications like Atlantic Monthly or Foreign Policy Review.

Wouldn't India have to worry about reprecussions from the 10% of
Indians who are Muslim?

I still do not see an answer from the smart mack, just another question.
So when are you going to drop the insults and answer the question.
Can't you put thoughts into words? Your thoughts? I don't want you to
repeat a magazine article or provide me a link. Your thoughts bud,
nothing else, no bullshit. You talk big so lets hear it big shot.

Not if they're all dead, or in prisons nobody can find.

The Russians have a history of miserable failures in the region, involving
Iran, Iraq, Egypt and (obviously) Afghanistan. I think their patience will
wear thin at some point.

It was a statement, not a question.
Quote (again):
"Just precisely what will happen if we stay there another five, ten or
fifteen years and our body count is in the tens of thousands, and we've
bankrupted our treasury completely."
I'll attempt to translate (English to English!): He thinks no matter what -
whether we stay or leave, the end result will be the same re: the situation
in Iraq.

dbu, since I've answered you twice already, and Cathy has kindly explained
my answer to you, I have to wonder whether you just are not fluent in
English, or whoever reads the posts to you is slurring his words.
