Just a piece on "Countdown" about Al Gore's energy bill. Seems it is in line
with typical Tennessee home power use on a per room basis. However, on the
subject of walking it like you talk it, he has voluntarily opted to buy his
energy from renewable sources at about a $5800 surcharge compared to
traditional sources.
And yes, Dbu is right on it, isn't he.

That's what they want the average guy to do -- buy smaller cars and
pollute less. How big of a house does he need? And if he buys carbon
neiutral electricity somewhere that doesn't reduce the amount of
carbon he's contributing to the overall pollution. Rich equals he can
buy other sources to offset his use, but that doesn't help overall.
